The Sioux City Public Schools Foundation supports excellence in education in the Sioux City Community School District by supporting three main areas of interest: STEM, Arts & Culture and Equity along with the Great Idea Grant Program.
Great Idea Grants are awarded annually by a review committee made up of District teachers & staff. Through last year's employee campaign, nearly $40,000 was awarded to Great Idea programs in classrooms across the Sioux City Community School District.
STEM projects include the robotics and animatronics projects at the middle and high school levels and the annual NASA Camp trips.
Arts & Culture projects the Foundation has funded in the past include speech programs at the high school level and the District-wide Artworks exhibit, held annually.
Equity projects include the purchase of caps and gowns and support for literacy and hunger awareness programs.
Again this year, the Foundation will match dollar for dollar all employee donations designated to the Great Idea Grant fund, doubling your contribution to our schools.
